Ducati Holidays 2015

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by richgilb, Dec 2, 2014.

  1. With no event at Mecca next year, has anyone got any good Ducati-related holiday ideas? Go to Bologna anyway is the best I can come up with so far.

My 1100 Evo Supersport will be ready by then.....

  2. Misano Motogp.

    • Agree Agree x 1
  3. Dijon prenois and the Manx Grand Prix for me

  4. Booked for the Dutch motogp but nothing else yet . Getting a bit sick of nurburgring so somthing else will have to turn up.

  5. Been there last two years , brilliant, would recommend it , definitely going again .

  6. Are all these circuits on the 2015 motogp calendar?

What about other stuff , like classic events, exhibitions?

  7. Erm like Dijon prenois and the Manx

  8. Sorry mate, only half these posts are flagged in my email. Dijon one looks perfect

  9. Agree Misano was awesome this year, i went to silverstone, Assen and Valencia and the best atmosphere by far was Misano. Flew this time but would like to ride down for next years.

  10. Ducati Club Nederland have a well attended weekend of Club Races with open paddock/pits, trade stalls with ducati speciaists and breakers selling spares/trick bits (but not particularly cheap). Trackday Friday, sells out quick, practice Saturday, about 20 races Sunday with all classes of ducati and european bikes. Usually in May and a good place to stay is Groningen 20 miles up the road which has all the Dutch attractions.

  11. Is there a link for this Dutch event?

  12. Ducati Club Nederland - Ducaticlubrace GB 2014

Dates for 2015 are decided after all the major race calendars are confirmed. Keep eye on their website crimbo/new year.
Bike park is like a mini WDW. Loads of modded and tricked up dukes.

  13. Date for Ducati Club Nederland. Assen Clubrace is the last weekend in May.

  14. Is that the 30-31st? Where are the details?

  15. You need to give yourself at least 4 days to get there on a bike. We rode down this year in 4 days and to be honest it doesn't give you much time for anything else.

  16. Not decided yet.

It was 16-17-18 May this year.

    Google Translate

  17. The Assen event is worth going to, especially if you want to check out a few old parts stalls and know what you want. Also tends to have plenty of exotica. Been a few times, raced once, although last years (or was it the year before?!) was a bit light on paddock content and the rain and cold kept peolpe away

  18. Their Facebook page says "last weekend of May" - by which I would assume they mean 30-31st. Just wanted to confirm.

I fancy going in 2015. How long does the journey take @bradders? I need to be back in London for work on the Monday :-(

  19. You're a bit farther than me! We left about 2 on Friday tunnel, were at hotel for 7, left Sunday about 3 and home by 10. I had to drop peolpe off too as I drove and that added an hour easy, probably more

  20. Or you could fly and rent a car
