hi iam chris ive been riding bikes since I was 15 and iam the wrong side of 40 now The first time I saw the 916 back in the day I fell in love and promised myself one day I would have one well I ended up with a 998 a 796 hypo and a gs adventurer not a duke but an iconic bike all in all. I live in the channel islands lovely place crap roads and all you tend to do is go around in circles. I get away to Europe as much as I can the freedom is bliss Switzerland and Austria have to be my favourite places beautiful scenery and mountain roads to die for. So looking forward to the spring now and many trips away :biggrin::biggrin:
Welcome. Cant be much fun "riding round in circles" but at least you are nearer the European mainland than most.
Cheers buzz I know, its only 50 mins to france and I try to get over there 5 to 6 times a year its great to let it rip its only 40 miles an hour over here but iam sure that's just a guide line lol
Welcome! I know what you mean about the mountain passes in Switzerland - I did 4 passes last summer and it was brilliant. Cheers, Moses.
Jeez, having big bike on a Channel Island must be a bit like having a boat in Barnsley - welcome anyway....
