  1. Hi Folks,

Can anyone recommend a reliable mechanic to service bevel twins and specifically set up the valves?
    I live in south Lancs.
    Thanks in Advance.

  3. Thanks El Toro for the info.

  4. Can anyone recommend the same for the south-east (Guildford) cheers

  5. Roy Armstrong sorted out my 1984 MHR after problems getting it to run properly.
I've known Roy for a long time, and he certainly knows his stuff. He was a member of Steve Wynne's Sports Motorcycles team that prepared the original bikes for Mike Hailwood on his return to racing, and was a good racer in his own right. So, he knows a thing or two about bevel engines.
    Good luck with your bike.
    Tom.

  6. I used to use Italsport in Bury when Roy and his son owned the business and bought my first monster S4 from them.

They seem to disappeared, any ideas where there are now based?

  7. Hello.
I also bought a number of bikes from Roy when he operated Italsport in Bury.
Roy & Paul still operate as Italsport in Whitworth near Rochdale, they have the following Facebook page:
    https://en-gb.facebook.com/ItalsportDucati .
    Hope it helps,
    Tom.

  10. The go to guy used to be Tony at Brancato engineering near Oxford. Not sure if they are still going though.

  11. Here they are.

  13. Tony Brancato of Brancato Engineering designed an aftermarket side stand to fit the MHR, among other things Ducati, and after speaking to him I bought one of the stands made to his design, which was a success.
I last spoke to him in August 2016 when he was still doing work on Ducatis. He's in Oxfordshire, and contact details are on his website, the link to which is provided above.
    Hope this helps.
    Tom.
