Hi, Can anyone help please? I have bought a Ducati Multistrada 1200 DVT October 2018 model earlier in the year, just been out for the first ride out nice bike. The only issue i have i that the rider seat seems low and i was continually pushing myself back from the tank to say the least it was a bit tight on the old numptuals pms! Looking in the manual it looks like there are some brackets that allow the seat to be raised but i do not have these can anyone help. Thanks in advance
The seat comes with two rails that sit either side below the seat. I did see a few bikes missing these when I was buying my bike. Think they are quite cheap to replace. As to the comfort of the standard seat, there has been many discussions around this. Most complain how uncomfortable it is. I have replaced mine with a Sergent seat which so far seems a lot better
Hi, Yes i saw on youtube the rails that bolt on. I will take a look for a Sergent seat, but if i can get hold of the rails first that might be worth a try - do you happen to know the part numbers for the rails. Thank you
Its not the height, its the shape of the stock seat that is wrong. They do slide you forwards and squish your nadds, whether the seat is in the upper or lower position. I fitted a Touratech seat on mine, and it sits you flat again...no more squashed nads . ... Makes Mrs Owl much happier now
Hi, Thanks for reply where did you purchase the Touratech seat from, i only went out for an hour the other y n it w a nightmare Nadd's were firkin flattened.
Strap an inflatable pad on top of the seat. Put a bit more or less air in, until the height suits you. Also very easy on the butt, for long rides. What's not to like?
Hi, Any idea what section he was selling the seat in, as they are pretty expensive to buy new. Thanks for your help
