I'v done loads of threads on Ducati spotted but never had a reply. Maybe sometimes, I just assume that everyone who owns a Ducati in the UK and beyond frequents on here. Realistically though, I would guess that less than 1 in 50 Ducati owners use this forum. Does anyone think otherwise ?
yeh probably high ratio. a lot will like to look, and some prefer to blether. i see a few out on the road but there doesn't appear to be many from north west on here.
Well there are probably well under 200 people who use this forum at all regularly so I'd say it is a lot less than 1 in 50
Definetly, sad as fuck posting about seeing a bike go past. Just like posting about a fucking bus going past.
I cant, got to wait to make sure I dont miss the late night ducati monster dark ride past, Thank fuck for NVG's
Conversely, of the few Ducati owners I've met in Surrey, 100% of them are registered here (although none of them have posted owt). I hasten to add that I'm not a Ducati spotter; I have far more important things to do with my precious time, like having a jar. Or two.
Is this the new Eddie Stobart game? Is it more fun than the Norbert Dentressangle alternative? Seeing as as I live near a Ducati dealer, I would do nothing else but post posts.
I'm north west ..... St.Helens , think ducati ownership has the biggest ..... 'Poser to biker real biker ratio ' of any other marque Gigity
poser biker v real biker? I'm neither. I'm a motorcyclist. Bikers are the chopper/bearded/leather waistcoat harley thing. I just ride motorcycles. All motorcyclists are posers. They are also real. Men in general are posers. Its what we do. Plus why else would we put on things like carbon fibre, when the benefit of its weight loss is so insignificantly slight for us amateurs to even notice? Why do you buy that nice jacket rather than that plain one? Everything we do or buy has some element of 'pose' in it. Even our homes and to a large extent our children too. Anyway, theres no such thing as a real biker. Just people doing things they like doing, the way they like doing it. I like all motorcycles to some degree. I only ride a Duke because I am addicted to V Twin grunt and they're pretty. I'm sure theres a great many who feel the same way.
The worst thing about owning a Ducati for me personally is that it does attract attention. I hate being the centre of attention. When I park my bike up at biker stops I quickly run away from it and get a cup of coffee and leave the crowd to mill around it. A lot of people do see you as a poser and a flash git but that's not true of me. I admit my bike is a bit flash but I'm definitely not flash. I'm just guilty of riding a flash bike and I ride it simply because I love it and no other bike interests me.
