Panigale r mk2. Wot do you get When new with bike I know you get mirror blanking plates and a charger wot else thanks as that’s all I got
My experience with a Panigale R is as follows. It definitely does not like going slow, and use in traffic can be uncomfortable especially from the heat coming off the exhaust and warming-up the rider. It's really a race bike with lights, and consequently works best when ridden fast, but stay aware and keep your eye on the speedometer. The suspension is not ideal for UK road use, and I found that after having it adjusted, and the Sag set by an Ohlins specialist, it was noticeably better. I've not done much mileage on this bike, but there have been a couple of recalls done without issues. I've changed the clutch slave cylinder, and the clutch can snatch sometimes until the bike warms-up, especially after having been unused for a while. I don't know if others have experienced this? Mine came with an alternative screen, mirror blanks, two keys, the data logger, a full book pack, and a Lithium battery charger which will connect directly to the bike loom or to the battery through a normal charging lead. I don't have the charger connected all the time, but check the voltage using the battery function on the bike, and charge it when necessary. I have been told that some bikes also came with a cover and a rear stand, but I had to buy mine separately. I have added protective covers for the clutch and alternator cases, and radiator guards. There is also partial paint protection fitted, but a full kit might be better. Overall, its a work of art, and I don't think I'll ever tire of owning and looking at it. Hope this helps. Tom.
Got to agree with @RTD about heat, road manners, suspension and clutch. *Should* come with DDA logger module (my second hand one didn’t, presumably sold on or lost). Lithium charger and mirror blanks should come too.
My MK2 came with a taller screen as well as the standard screen, mirror blanks, Lithium charger, DDA logger and because I asked as part of the deal, tail tidy, rear paddock stand and cover .
Mine is a Panigale R from MY's 2015-2017, sometimes referred to as a Mk2. The earlier 1199 Panigale R from MY's 2013-2014, is sometimes referred to as a Mk1. The Mk2 was much improved over the earlier Mk1, and had many of the 1299 model improvements together with what was needed for a true WSBK homologation model. This is a link that covers the 2015 version specification of the Mk2: https://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/model/ducati/ducati_1299R Panigale 15.htm . Hope it helps. Tom.
