  1. Hi All
Im off to the TT again having not gone for a while and not on my panigale, previously ive just strapped down my roll bag and attached a tent to the top of this, all worked great. However im not sure i want or can do this on the ducati.

Ive seen some ventura luggage sports rack for £260 anyone have any thoughts or views before i pull the plug on this and is it going to be big enough for a roll bag and tent?

    cheers

  3. Has the v2 got gaps in the tail like the pani did,”?

I had a givi roll bag I used to bungee up through those gaps worked a treat and cheap as chips

  4. yep got those gaps the same as a v4, have got a couple of roll bags will have a look
    cheers

  5. red 899 - did you put any sort of cover over the rear seat paintwork at all?

  6. Yep, Kreiga do some luggage straps that bolt to the underside of the pillion seat. I have them on mine.

  7. The Kreiga seat luggage straps for the V4 are designed for the pillion seat so as to stop damage to the paint, i don’t know if the V2 version is the same, but they do make a plethora of luggage options (not the cheapest though)

  8. Always used a Ventura rack on my 899…

I just got the sports rack and use a Gearsack bag bungeed onto it, only way to guarantee not scratching the paintwork imo.
Not sure if you’d get a bag and tent on it though?

Rack just stays on the bike and is handy for strapping waterproofs on if you’re just riding days out from a hotel base, I always fit the pillion seat when I’m using it as I’ve added extra foam padding to the underside of the rack so it actually sits on top of the pillion seat and it’s as solid as a rock :upyeah:

  9. I use the Blaze soft pannier system. Very happy with it and put a Kriega on the pillion seat. All rock solid at high speed.

  14. yes mate just bought a bit of non stick matting, as I said a very cheap option but I didn’t want to be riding round with an empty rack on my bike cos I’m a tart :D

  15. Yes. The prongs come off which just leaves a very discreet flat black bracket; if you can't be arsed to undo 2 bolts and remove it. :upyeah:

  16. spoke to motech and apparently there is no option for the panigale v2, they do a version for the streetfighter but it wont fit - so i guess thats out

  17. I’m sure Givi do a set now very similar to the Blaze ones.
