Ducati Parts

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Not Carl Fogarty, Jul 5, 2016.

  1. Wheres the best place to get Ducati parts from without too much fuss?
I am not too near a main dealer, my nearest maybe Aylesbury I think?
So I guess I may have to mail order.

I am currently after the fuel tank to fuel pipe (fuel line) little o'rings.
I have a local (engineering) suppliers for bearings and seals but a bit wary regarding fuel resistance etc.

I could do with these fairly soon.

  4. Thanks Birdie. I might take them to a local engineers supplier, just a bit dubious about the chemical resistance etc.. they will give me some long reply about chemical reactions but not actually say they are 100% safe but with fuel above the exhaust pipe I'm a little paranoid.

How long have you had these fitted Birdie?

I have sent Exige a PM.

  5. I have been using these for five or six years now, if you check Polymax web site the Viton ones I have indicated are fuel proof.

  6. Sorted by Exige. Thank you.

  7. Birdie I googled this issue before I posted on here and checked the link you gave before you posted a second reply. I knew you'd be using the right ones :) I was referring to approaching suppliers in general.

I worked as an engineer for years.. So I have seen some issues (learnt by mistake) and still learning everyday. Years ago I never would have thought about it.
