  1. just booked my HM821SP in for 12M/9K service, the confirmation email states

"We now offer a remap solution for most Ducati , please ask reception for further details"

I have asked Ducati Manchester to provide details,no reply yet, but wondered if anyone here had used the service?

  2. thanks for the link Toby... DM just replied

"Yes we offer a remap service I have various maps for the hyper it depends on which system you have i.e. full system or just end can fitted
Cost is £200 all in including Vat we can eliminate o2 & exhaust noise suppression valve"

reasonable cost? i might tell them to go ahead with it

  3. So its a generic map then? Not a custom remap service utilising a dyno

  4. Yep, which is why it's only £200. Going to be fine for some because you will notice a difference and a disappointment for others because the difference won't be enough. Halfway house at best IMO. Andy

  5. i've got the remap booked in any case...guy i'm emailing at DM says he has it done to his HM, and enjoys the difference it makes... if it kills the dead spot at 6.5K rpm...it be a great improvement,, i've noticed it more and more recently, particularly, steady throttle on corner entry, kinda feels like the TC is kicking in, taking power away. Also been really noticeable at constant speed on the dual carriageways and motorways...

anyways, full service, 2 new tyres and remap, all set for next monday...will post on what i feel the differences are and detail the costs

  6. Had the rexxer remap done this week, managed to get out for a proper run on some familiar roads today to see if it's made any major differences...

YES..its very different, feels stronger everywhere, loads more grunt from 4-6k rpm, frantically fast above 7k rpm, the first few miles I thought there was something wrong with my brakes, but turns out, corner to corner I was just traveling faster. 2nd and 3rd gear the front wheel is coming off the ground as you power off the apex. pretty much everywhere the front is skipping off the ground and accelerating over bumps and rises, just sends the front up.
I have had to recalibrate my throttle hand (and my braking) today.
So maybes not as good as a full exhaust/remap/dyno session, but I'd say for £200, it's a pretty good improvement.

still getting that lean point at around 6500rpm with a steady throttle though, was hoping that might be gone, have asked the DM techs about it, waiting to hear back.
the crack in the rear exhaust pipe has opened up over the course of the ride out and things were starting to feel a little rough toward the end, hoping to get that done this week, and I'll see if things improve.

  7. Ducati Winchester offer a performance ecu update for £300. Does anyone know if this is better or worse than a Rexxer?
