I went for a ride out yesterday as did most people judging by the amount of traffic on the road. I don't really go in for the nodding at other motorcyclists thing, I do do it out of politeness, but usually after someone has nodded at me first. However I do always nod at fellow Ducati riders as a sign of respect for having mutual good taste in bikes. Yesterday I saw at least a dozen Duke's of various shapes and sizes and nodded at them all, not one nodded back, this is not the first time I've noticed this. BMW and Harley riders nodded at me, even a group of Vespa riders nodded through their cloud of blue smoke!. Is it just me or has anyone else noticed this?.
I nod at other riders regardless of what bike they have got... unless they have an L plate. I know we all started somewhere but they annoy me and get in my way. Lol
If it was anything like my ride yesterday I was too busy concentrating on riding whilst trying to avoid the huge pot holes let alone worrying about tilting my head to a fellow biker.
Sympathise with O.P. but there are often good reasons for no nod-backs due to traffic or concentration Try nodding at anyone in Central London and 99% will ignore you.
Although by your own admission, as. Ducati rider, you're a miserable bastard not nodding normally Chances are many will be all nodded out... Or nodded off
sometimes i nod, sometimes i don't. Sometimes people nod at me, sometimes they don't. No pattern, just life. hey ho
"judging by the amount of traffic on the road" answers the question on its own. busy roads mean i have to watch everything ALL the time, theres no time for nodding, dribbling or farting im afraid.
This is true, like most bikers who ride the same routes you get to know where every pot hole, man hole cover and piece of shit is on the road but there are he'll of lot of new pot holes around here!.
I used to be a miserable git but don't own a Ducati anymore so now a nodding tart, just nod at anyone .I've been healed....... oh yes.
