Just returned from a ride to the Alps when my bike developed an exhaust noise that sounded like a Harley. Pulled over and discovered a 20mm dia hole in the front pipe!! On closer inspection a bung that appeared to be welded in front of the Lamda sensor had popped out and landed in the tray. Managed to find some jubilee clips and GunGum and it has held but this really shouldn't happen on a bike like this. Not sure if the bung is required for maintenance, so may get a patch welded or fit a new pipe (with a bung to pop out again!!)
