Hi, I keep my Ducati in France nowadays and wondered if anyone knew of an independent Ducati mechanic near Brive/Limoges/Tulle?
Sorry don’t know of any but I had to post as you are in Gods riding country there. Has my favourite road of all time!
Cant really help, Ducati (multi franchise) at Limoges are best avoided from my experience. Holeshot at Brive (KTM) are obviously NOT Ducati, but are helpful and may point you in the right direction. Or, join these https://www.ducati-mania.com/ you could use https://www.deepl.com/en/translator if you have no/ or little French language skills?
D940 is nice. Have to say there are loads of roads just as good locally…and some much better ones! Anyone heading that way in the future, I can give pointers
I am there Monday, but unfortunately for a family bereavement. I would love some info. Have ridden the 940 many times and always delivers. Have also ridden joining Egletons Treignac areas making nice loops for day trips.
And of even less use, in Nice. Went the extra mile for me in June getting me back on the road for the journey home and my big off... hang on... Oh yeah, that was my fault, not theirs Seriously, they did me a solid favour taking a part (right switchgear internals) off a demo bike to help me out. Spent a good hour+ doing this and only charged 30 mins labour plus the cost of the part. Mechanic and service manager more than pleased with the €50 tip I gave them. The alternative was for me to spend a couple of days in a hotel, cancel hotel bookings (too late to get refund) for lonely journey home and try to make up time to catch original ferry.
A great result with the bike being fixed using a part from the demo bike. That was good of them. I bet hotels in Nice can start being expensive in June and have to take whatever is available !
Drove the back road from Martel to Beynat through Collognes La Rouge 18 months ago. Can’t wait to ride that on the bike.
