Ducati Specials.. picture thread

  1. I've been thinking of building a Ducati 'special' for awhile, once the ones I'm doing now are finished, so been trawling the internet for ideas. Thought it might be an idea to start a thread and see if you lot can add more...

  4. First one is awful.The seat unit and ridiculous exhaust are just wrong and spoils what wouldent be otherwise too bad. Dunno whay anyone would want to put a Ducati engine in a Norton,third one is ok ish.

  5. First one is just too weird! Cut the back bit off & it looks great, but the seat/exhaust combo IMHO look stoopid!

    The second one......... think I'd rather have the Norton in its standard unmolested form.

    Third one looks pretty cool from that angle, but its hard to judge when you're looking at it from an angle that you will rarely see it from!

  6. Is the back-end of the first one from a Hailwood Evo? IMHO it looks a bit odd on the original bike and much more so out of context.

    Loving the other two though.

  7. The tail unit on the first bike is from the MH900E.The exhaust layout is similar to the MH.I don't like the back end but the front is good and a lot of hard work has gone into the making.I wish I had such skills.

  12. There's a guy on Multistrada.net who has put a 749 engine in a 1000 Multistrada chassis.

    As for the first bike in the thread, what a dogs breakfast! I especially like the rear wheel being in the wrong way around to cater for the r/h chain...

  18. I'm slowly coming around to the half arsed light. Except you wouldn't see anything at night. Should be a big Cibié in keeping with the theme.
