  1. WhatsApp Image 2023-05-15 at 20.10.08 (3).jpeg Heart-breakingly, my ‘forever bike’ has to go, due to an upcoming change in living arrangements, asking £12,000, which is a bargain for this bike!

    Quick facts:
    • Just 6,265 miles,
    • MoT 24 March 2024,
    • Full service at local Ducati specialist this week,
    • New fuel filter, new air filter, plugs, all new fluids including brake,
    • Termignoni slip on,
    • Ohlins rear shock,
    • Tank coated with Caswell to prevent ethanol swelling,
    • Three keys including the red one and code card, manuals, docs etc.
I found the bike after a long search, in mid-2016, when I was living in the US. It comes from one of many Goldilocks places to buy bikes in the US, Seattle. No salt on roads, not too hot, not too cold.

I bought it from Ducati Seattle, who had taken it in from a collector who had run out of room and wanted a Panigale Anniversario.

I took it to a humidity-controlled garage in Houston Texas, where it lived with me until I brought it back to the UK. It now lives in a dehumidified garage in Surrey and is looking for a new home.

I had hoped to use the bike more than I have and to keep it for good. It has been well looked after, with regular servicing and checking. Apart from that it has only had one failure in all the time I’ve owned it, when the Throttle Position Sensor went, which was replaced. Apart from that its been flawless.

It runs like a dream, it sounds absolutely fantastic (IMHO), has always been fed on premium fuel and left empty over winter. There’s some very minor marks on the slip-ons, but nothing elsewhere.

Any questions, please let me know!

  2. Open to sensible offers, or advice on where this bike would sell best… thanks!

  3. Have you tried a free ad in Car & Classics? Motorbikes for Sale | Car and Classic

I think if you're patient the right buyer will come along. Personally I love these bikes, but at the moment I just can't justify buying a 4th bike otherwise I'd have snapped this up.

  4. Thanks! I have yes, I've put it on there. I thought about an auction, but its takes a few weeks to get set up.. that might still be plan B!

  5. I've had three bikes on carandclassics for many, many months now with enquires but no Sales at the minute, the saving grace is that you don't pay for the advertistment slot which's a bonus over other platforms. I've come to the conclusion that the dealers and private buyers know where all the advertistment sites are.!

  6. sold my 996R on https://collectingcars.com/ to someone in Switzerland. Appreciate it was a 'collectible' bike but yours is very nice and they have a few dukes on there now. They don't have many bikes on there but worked for me. doesn't cost the seller apart from initial £100 odd cost to get some professional pics done that you get to keep anyway. just a possible route??
