Ducati Streetfighter S - 2009 - 5400 Miles - £5995, 12 months MOT, cam belt service just done. I bought the bike around this time last year as a street bike plaything. It's been hardly used it since buying, I just haven't the time to ride it. The bikes in great condition, low mileage, with MOTs and service book supporting the mileage. Like the Sports Classic, they didn't manufacture many due to poor demand, and now a little more sought after(ish). This is an extremly low mileage bike, with the MOT document confirming it's genuine (Previous MOT's at 2015 - 752 miles, 2013 - 3551 miles, 2012 - 2278 miles). 3 previous owners First registered 7th November 2009 Streetfighter S features; Epic 1098 engine Superb Ohlins suspension front and rear Full Brembo monoblock brakes Ducati Traction Control - Ducati's first bike fitted with the system Service wise, it has; 12 months MOT. Prev MOTs 2015 = 4752 miles, 2013 = 3551 miles, 2012 = 2278 miles The belt service just done (by Ducati specialists) Ohlins fork service (oil, seals etc) by a full authorised centre (Kais) The bike is mostly standard, with subtle bits of expensive bling, such as: Rizoma Rearsets Ducati Performance short numberplate holder Carbon fibre top radiator shrouds Evotech exhaust hanger Shorty levers Touring Screen Tyres have around 1-1.5k left on them Bike history: 5 owners MOTs All books present, along with spare (red) key. 5400 miles on the clock (may go up over this weekend) Here's the rub, it's a Cat D. The previous owner to me, purchased the bike from the owner that had a low speed off and made an insurance claim and had the vehicle repaired. From what I can see, there's just a peanut sized mark on the fuel tank. Cat D's are "though" to be marked down by ~15-20%, which would make a non CAT D worth £8000+. The bike is located in Highbury, London N5. Update (18/05/2016) Carbon cam covers refitted, and open clutch cover. PM me, I'll give you my number and we can talk 1-2-1.
Hopefully yes. Apparently they did respond with the email to get things rolling but they sent it to Moto Rapido, not to me. There's a form I had to sign to accept their offer. MR forwarded to me but there was something wrong with their email system and I didn't receive it. I rang them a couple of days ago and asked them to order a new one at full price and they said, hang on, we sent you an email about that. So I was fulminating slightly thinking Ducati were giving me the brush-off but actually it was just a communication error. Rode down there yesterday as an excuse to drop in at Loomies, and signed the acceptance form. They're doing it at half price. I think Ducati will demand the old panel back which is a pity. I'm sure its a simple connection problem and if I gave to Scorpio Electronics they'd probably be able fix it and I'd swap them back again to retain the exact mileage and keep the new on as a spare. Trouble is, if I gave it to them first and they couldn't fix it, but it was clear that someone had had it apart, Ducati would be certain to withdraw their goodwill offer. Wasn't worth the risk. Either way, back on the road soon. Then I'll decide whether I keep the bike or not. Its hard to compare it objectively with the SDR when its got no instrument panel because you can't really ride it properly and assess it without a speedo or rev counter.
I had the tank replaced under warranty on my SFS due to warping. Ducati kept the old one as expected, or maybe the dealer did, who knows. You may be different as you are paying 50% of the cost, but I thnk there may be some small print in what you have signed. I think the only time you can expect something back is if you are paying for the replacement 100%.
Besides being Cat D listed, which was fully repaired, absolutely nothing. At the price it's a hell of bike for the money.
You mean the OT comments on my sale thread, they're (the clocks) are probably f'ked LOL :tearsofjoy::fearscream:
Ah, it's yours - someone just posted your Ebay ad on another thread and I recommended them to buy it :smileys:
It's mine I'll send you a beer token for the recommendation. Do you supply belt to Rosso Corse in London?
May have to have a look but you are in the centre of London, that's a bugger Is there a scratch on the tank?
I'm right in the centre of London, Highbury Islington N5. Yes, it's scratch the size of a peanut on the tank, which has touch up paint on it. The scratch doesn't, or didn't go down to the metal, it just took the varnish off.
Once the eBay shit have finished picking over it and sending dumb-ass offers and messages your way, it'll go to someone genuine.
