agreed, but (as a cyclist) the bike rider should have been in a better position and shouldn't have been on the bloody phone in the middle of a busy three lane road. That's without all the idiot pedestrians around. Both to blame IMHO.
cyclist should not have been there, but biker 'chose' to go for the 'gap'- he could/should have decided to wait, even if cyclist was in wrong. He had a choice, and made wrong decision.(even if he was 'in the right'), no-one wins.
Bikers fault, no question. He could easily have avoided that with patience. Sure the cyclist was being a tit too, but I see a great many pedestrians being a tit. Doesnt mean I should mow them all down. Altho....
The cyclist *is* in a cycle lane (which oddly seems to stop after the pedestrian crossing), so you can hardly say he's in the wrong place. The biker is just an idiot. Filtering closely past cars is one thing, bicycles is just not on. I can't believe he was obnoxious enough to upload the video.
I'd imagine bobby law may have something to say about a biker colliding with a cyclist (tit or not) in a cycle lane.
Twit motorcyclist. He should know that people on bicycles are sacred cows and cannot be interfered with on the road. They are never in the wrong - not even when they are. Cyclists are allowed, in fact if not in law, to do whatever they want. When cyclists are entirely in the wrong, it is mostly the other party's fault. If the cyclist is only partly in the wrong, it is entirely the other party's fault. That's what happens. Every time. Idiot of a motorcyclist should have realised/remembered/known this and done what most of us bikers do every day - do your utmost not to hit, or be hit by, other road users. Getting angry and punishment-passing a cyclist is idiotic if you are at risk of hitting the cyclist.
