My mate sent me a link on FB that Ducati Worcester is to re open. There was a job advert for a sales person. Hope this is true because although Ducati Coventry are good it’s a real ball Che to get to. We need Worcester to serve the West Midlands, hope it happens
Worcester opening and Stoke closing. Cannot fault the service at Coventry though. It’s as good as it can be.
Ducati Worcester originally opened as a DMC operation. Changed hands to Completely Motorbikes a couple of years ago. Good news if it is reopening. For both owners in the area, prospective customers and also local employment. I imagine the old staff have since found new jobs though.
It didn’t even last 12 months after completely bought it. Shocking really. I would hope all the staff found jobs. Completely also bought Worcester Kawasaki which had been there for as long as I can remember, that also closed. On a purely selfish note Worcester is. 15-20 minutes away, Coventry is 1 1/2 hours.
I hear you on that @Vader, they were my dealer too when I lived in Ledbury. Bought my 1260 Multi from DMC Stoke in 2018, long before they opened in Worcs. I now live in Cheltenham, seeing as I'm out of warranty I now use MotoVation.
Ducati Stoke is being taken over by the Staffordshire Triumph/Honda company and will be based at the Honda dealership site.
Great staff at DMC Stoke, hopefully they're moving with the franchise, throughout my biking life i've mostly bought bikes from SoT.
I have been a regular visitor to SoT the place, since 1984. I have bought a few bits from Ducati Stoke, but I still think it probably didn’t fit the criteria for a Ducati dealer.
I know what you mean, they must have spent a fortune trying to make a showroom from a terraced house. Used to like going to Greens of Longton back in the 90’s, was a great multi franchise dealer.
It was an awful site. No idea why anyone chose that in the first place. No parking ,even for bikes, no space to expand, tiny tiny showroom...but i guess it fitted the profile when it was first opened.
