I have these files in .png format in a nice high resolution ready to send to Rob if he wants to organise some sticker production to help pay server fees etc.
The multi colour ones are a bitch to do if doing individual letters. I had some done when I had the isc and the place I used were cussing a lot...
I can get some made, but I'd need Rob's permission. It's his website and I am not involved in any way. He might want to use the stickers as a source of revenue for server fees etc. I can get 100 stickers for under £100 off of an internet sticker printing company. So maybe £1 each including postage? 70mm x 10mm in full colour on a transparent sticker. If Rob posts in here saying he's ok with it then I will order some.
Here is what the sticker company says about what I'm thinking of: The transparent sticker product on this page is printed in full colour using digital printers. The printed image is NOT white backed or opaque. This means the image will be translucent, very much like writing on a window with a felt-tip pen - light wll travel through the image. The stickers will be perfectly fine when placed on white, silver or very light surfaces. However, when placed on dark surfaces then the image colours will be adversely distorted. If you do not want your transparent stickers to be translucent, but would rather have the image in solid colour and/or white-backed then please refer to our screen-printed stickers. Screen printed stickers use inks that are more solid. However, screen printing is only possible if your sticker order is a reasonable size to cover our setup costs.
ok, I'll clear this up. basically if you want solid opaque colours then cutting from a CAD vinyl will give best results e.g. solid white, black, red etc If however you want the multi coloured version above IMO the only way to 'easily' get that is to digitally print as the green , red & white of the word 'FORUM' look to have a gradient? Without the gradient its possible to just cut them from solid colour vinyl but a pain in the arse as it means laying each sticker up after cutting them, each colour would be cut from a different roll and then you have to piece it together letter by letter. On the solid colour versions you'd only have two words to piece toegther thus making life easier. Saying that if you can give me the vector files i can probably get them all done from one single machine digitally printed and contour cut, they'd be good for what you need and to be fair you can have any variation of colour you want, as long as the artwork is already supplied. Then all you'd need to do is get some low tack masking tape, lay it up over the letters and peel it all off in one go before reapplying to your bike.
Ok, Rob has been in touch. I will order 100 stickers which have the logo above with the italian flag colours. They will be the removable type adhesive so as not to damage paintwork and will be 70mm x 10mm in size. The stickers cost £65.78 The stickers will be 66p each plus 62p for a first class stamp and 10p for the envelope. You will only pay for 1 stamp and envelope per order. Hopefully these will arrive at my house by a week monday and Mrs Rowley can post them all off. I won't use recorded delivery as it'll end up costing much more than it needs to. Cost for multiple stickers: 1 Sticker £1.38 2 Stickers £2.04 3 Stickers £2.70 4 Stickers £3.36 5 Stickers £4.02 6 Stickers £4.68 7 Stickers £5.34 8 Stickers £6 9 Stickers £6.66 10 Stickers £7.32 please send money for stickers via paypal as a gift to my username on this forum at gmail dot com. Please put an address in the payment message and the number of stickers required. Cheers Thomas
This is the sample image the company i have ordered from provides to demo the transparent sticker. It's not a vinyl graphic but a sticker with an adhesive. I ordered a type with a laminate over the top so should withstand road use.
i was tempted to bung up my unused ones and sell as 'limited edition/premium/rare. - won't bother now!!
If your name is actually tim then you only sent money for 2. If your name isn't tim then I don't think I got it yet.
