Time for new tyres on the Icon and whilst the Metzeler Z8 Interacts have served well, tyre development doesn’t stand still and they are a bit long in the tooth now. So, as the title, has anyone tried the recently launched Dunlop Mutant ? Andy
If you’re considering Mutants you could also look at Heidenau K73’s, both described as supermoto tyres. Did you not like the Pirelli MT’s ?
The MT is, IMO, not the best tyre for fast and technical Tarmac which tends to dominate our social riding. We ride throughout the year so any tyre has to have excellent wet weather performance so the sports touring niche is what I’m concentrating on. The Z8 is a very good tyre and IMO, will be hard to better but if there is a better tyre available, it needs to be looked at. Andy
