  1. Hi All,

First time posting and its a rant, so I tried to tax the bike this weekend and realised I didnt have the V5, now I moved last year so sent it off to the DVLA along with the one for the car. Now it would appear that I didnt get either one back and after speaking to the dvla I'm told tough, it will be £25 for a duplicate of each one.

I asked them for some proof of posting and the responce was the system says it was posted so it was posted and you didnt chase it up with in the three month period after sending in.

I tried to explain that with everything else in my life I just didnt realise till now when I had to tax both vehicles and yes there responce was tough.

    ROBBING BA"$%^DS

  2. Welcome

  3. You must take better care of your paperwork

  4. Had problem with the DVLA when I tried to register as new owner of a 750SS a few years back. They "lost" the paperwork not once but twice and were completely disinterested. After saying they couldn't help me anymore and basically "tough", the docs arrived in the post from them the next day. I was relieved but not impressed.

  5. I can underrstand the three month rule but the fact that I sent 2 V5s and neither have arrived back is a bit odd and maybe I should have been more vigilent but as I wasnt even using the bike or car at the time I just kind of forgot till they were needed. Oh well made a second call and they still wont budge so looks like I'm 50 quid lighter

  6. you'll feel right at home on this forum me old tater...

  7. when the revolution comes extra lamp posts will be needed

  8. I had occasion to go to the DVLA to do some work. They are blessed with the most gorgeous birds there. Maybe not lamp post's but they will suffer.

    Regards Steve
