1200 DVT Dvt Value

  1. Hi all, I’ve owned my Dvt abs ( non s) since new ( november 15 ) always garaged, fair weather use, 6400 miles, pretty close to immaculate condition, panniers, top box, arrow decat
Is wanting £8500 for it pretty realistic selling privately, or is that over / under valuing it ?

  2. It is not over priced. The panniers and top box are worth a grand on their own. The Arrow etc adds more value, especially if you still have the oE stuff too
I paid over 9K in January for a similar dealer bike, but with std exhausts and a slightly higher mileage.

  3. 2 years ago - My S model 17 Plate - about 16 to 18 months old at the time - was paid out at £12000 including accessories when written off - one owner 7K miles..... New S 1200's at that time could be had for 13500 at a few dealers..

  4. Me too in March. Might struggle for buyers generally in the current climate but GLWS :upyeah:

  5. Its only gonna get better now.
Freedoms are being restored. Bikes are becoming more desirable again.
There are still a few peeps scared of their shadows, but they are not likely to want to ride dangerous motorcycles :D anyway.
Multis always sell well. It took me ages to find a good one even in winter. Yours is very good value for the price you are wanting

  6. CAP for an end of line DVT S with 5k miles is £8800 to £9800. 67/18 plates

I’d say £8500 to achieve £8000 for yours

  7. I traded in my October 2015 DVT S Touring over 2 years ago, got £8600 for it, admittedly it was high mileage at 33K but it was in excellent condition. I think £8500 is a bit optimistic, check what other private sales of similar models are being advertised at
