I just wanted to publicly (at least via the forum) thank Caroline and the team at Dymag in Chippenham, Wilts who despite the lockdown remain open for business and have refurbished the rear magnesium wheel of my 998 which I dropped off in mid Feb on my way to the airport. They gave me a tour of the factory, allowed me to use their offices and now they tell me just to bring some biscuits and coffee when I come to collect. The wheel has been refurbished FOC despite long being out of warranty. What fantastic service and hospitality, in complete contrast to their main competitor whom I cannot even persuade to change a fixing bolt. Check out their range of wheels and applications, I really don’t see the need to look elsewhere! https://www.dymag.com/
I will find out when I get there but it had an air leak into the hub which they told me would require the wheel to be stripped, repainted and dynamically balanced as a minimum.
Good news Joe. I have Dymags on my race bike and would like a small mod on the front. If Dymag are really this human then I’ll give them a call for advice.
Well I’ve had nothing but disappointment dealing with Dymag. They never answer the phone or reply to emails. I had to get a friend-of-a-friend to call the boss there before I could get even an acknowledgement of my query about Superbike fitment dimensions. I have also sent them a photo with a ruler across a cush-drive bushing asking about replacements only to be told that theirs are not that size and so I must have different brand wheels. Now I’ve ordered them from HPS so I can’t understand why Dymag claim they are not Dymag parts.
