996 Dyno Figures

Discussion in '748 / 916 / 996 / 998' started by dmc12, Jun 7, 2022.

  1. I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of dyno figures a 916/996 puts out, and whether a full 50mm termi system makes any difference?

How significant is the bump to the 996S or SPS engine? Do they benefit any more from a full system and tune?

    Thanks!

  2. 110=115 for a 996 +/- and 125-130 for an S/ SPS +/-
only my experience and others may have found more etc
my 996s responded well to a power commander and with the 50mm system made 128 at the back wheel.

Edit to include a copy of an old Dyno printout

  7. Sounds about right to me.

916 should make around 105, mine made 118 after CJS worked his magic.

  8. My 996 SPS hit about 150 after some engine work, but on advice from ducati Wolverhampton I reduced the compression as they suspected the squish had been reduced too much. Was still very torquey after though, have the graphs somewhere

  9. I think ( but I'd need to check to be sure) cjs did the work on my 996, see post above re squish levels

  10. Take it to Setons dyno and you’ll be good for 300bhp at the front wheel :upyeah:
