Dyno Tune / Remap Advice - 848

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by comesunt, Feb 8, 2015.

  1. Got a 2010 non evo 848.
Have full race termi fitted with matching ECU.

Thinking of getting it set up on a dyno.
What could I expect to pay, and how what performance improvement could I expect.
Finally, any recommendations of where to get it done. In West Mids, but willing to travel

    Many thanks,

    Bob

  2. 2nd CJS as above
also BSD in Peterborough are very good and maybe a little closer to you (possibly)

    expect to pay over £400

  3. Many thanks,

    just emailed cjs...

  4. I paid just over £400 for a full remap and setting of the throttle bodies and TPS with CJS for a 748R engined 748S, so everything had to be set from scratch.

  5. Get the ignition timing done too

  6. I'm in west mids, but always travel to cjs in Bristol. Great work.

  7. Isn't that part of the remapping process??

I've got the bike booked into CJS for later this month
    Cheers,
    Bob

  8. No don't think so.

  9. I don't think it is either, best to check before taking the bike in as to what is actually involved.

  10. He did mine too, and it was more for the ign set up. It's not ecu related really

  11. To the best of my knowledge ECUs have both fuel and ignition maps. I'd have thought a proper "tune up" would involve modifying both.

  12. ^^^ If CJS does it then yes it does. A RPM cut out can also be placed on the chip for certain models as can individual mapping of each cylinder.

  13. No idea. I'm still on mechaical retard ;)

  14. I know my timing was changed when I had mine done there, but it might have been done by Rich before going to Chris. A quick call should suffice mate then it'll come back purfik:upyeah:
