E-mail Contact For Ducati Uk ? I Want To Make A Complaint

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by kev moose, May 24, 2014.

  1. Hi, Has anyone got a direct e-mail contact for Ducati UK.
I want to make a complaint regarding a gearbox fault on my 1198.
I'm not expecting to get very far but I've got to give it a try,
with full service history and less than 4.5k miles I did'nt expect a full gearbox rebuild !
    Thanks in advance,
    kev.

  2. you may fare better ringing them to explain and obtain an email.......and wash your dirty linen out of public sight....

  3. Or you could pm Tim Maccabee on here. :)

  4. I only want a contact for DUK, I don't need any linen washing thanks.o_O
Thanks El Toro I'll give it a go.
    Kev.

  5. All in my humble opinion but some replies seem a tad harsh.

  6. I filled in the online form on their website and had a call from Italy the same day

  7. That's good to know, I'll try that as well.
Trying to phone them is not really an option unless Ducati Uk start work before 6.30 am and still take calls after 7.00 pm.

  8. Removed snide suggestions. Kev, best of luck.

    Rob.

  9. i dont get this......this very site has seen the negative effect of members here arguing their position or jockeying for support for warranty or good will from DUK on an open forum and history has shown us that the soft private contact is the way to operate.

Secondly do we really need a open web site to find contact details for a national representative of an international company, let alone using one of their representative well posted dealer networks.

finally, if you really want to get a positive outcome then you put yourself out..i cant believe for one minute anyone would not be able to make themselves available for 10 minutes during the working day....

  10. go figure.

  11. Many thanks for removing the post suggesting if the op can't use a mobile or Google ducati if no wonder he broke a gearbox. Well done rob

  12. It was just banter ffs. I don't understand why it was removed. People are too bloody precious on here sometimes. :Meh:

  13. dont be so snide....

  14. Where's the love?

  15. some times people want to vent, makes you feel better. boots, :Finger: ;):D.

  16. If you want to discuss issues with Ducati UK. Don't vent them openly on a Public Forum. It'll put you on the back foot and I speak from experience on this topic.

Call or email and keep it as private and positive as possible on an open forum until the issue is resolved. If you still feel the need to post about the situation, then try to post with an unbiased opinion expressing both positive stuff and as is the normal the negative too.

If you want DUK's help or good will on your issues, your priority and 1st conversation is with the dealer and then DUK.

  17. Kev moose are you sure it needs a full rebuild ?? I have same kms on mine and it falls out of gear from 3rd back to nuetral and I really really hope it's not trashed too ! Have not rode bike that hard or had miss shifts ! If it's their QS I hope they look into this . Any pics from inside gear box ?

  18. The problem with forums is it leads people like me to think that every Ducati is a ticking time bomb! Please someone tell me the QS on my bike isn't ruining it. Please tell me if I swap to a 1199 (as I'm considering at present) I won't be ditching coolant constantly...

  19. it will be fine.
