Early Superlight On Flea-bay

  1. I was watching this last week when it was up for sale. I guess it didn't make the reserve or someone messed him around. There were several questions regarding the wheels and the owner reckons it was supplied new with these fitted. Strange.

  2. If it had the original Akront wheels it wouldn't still be there that's for sure and it would be considerably more money. Amazing that without the wheels it loses so much value and desirability........nice bike though.

  3. As a MK1 it would not have come with those wheels, they all had the split rims from new. I had a pair on my Baines Imola, they cost me something like €800 from a guy in Holland so they are out there.

  4. And looking at the advert it's missing the underslung rear brake caliper?

  5. been withdrawn by the seller hmm

  6. Shame - I was going to have a little punt at that........

Think it was the MK2 which was the first Superlight that had the underslung caliper.....

  7. Actually, thinking about it you might be right, brain fade due to old age... ;-)

  8. Maybe it was for the german market, that could explain why it does not have the magnesium akront wheels.

    Henk!!!
