Earphones/earbuds

  1. I'm a commuter and want music for freeway rides. Interested in an in-ear system that will act as an earplug and headphone simultaneously. Also interested in noise cancelling. Do they work for wind noise inside helmets? Thx

  2. I use the Bose QCi 10 noise cancelling earbuds and find them perfect - expensive but they work for me

  3. I've used various noise-cancelling earplugs in my helmet. Not been terribly successful. Too much wind noise although perhaps a different kind of helmet may work better.

  4. Hi my son and i purchased some from Autotel motorsport in Lodon near Beccles Suffolk, they are fantastic, they supply these to most of the rally drivers and race teams around the world, we have had a perfect conversation via our mobiles at speeds up to 120mph in Europe, they are as clear as a bell, we have them linked to Scarla rider Q3 which can Bluetooth music, communication between bikes and sat nav etc, they really are perfect. They cost around £180 mark but are well worth it. If you want any more info on the company just let me know and i will dig out the tele number.:upyeah:

  5. all depends ....
How quiet is your helmet - does freeway speed equal 55 or 100mph?
Earbuds are better than in-helmet speakers - I use both for commuting depending on roads used/ speeds / choice of bike on the day and it's enough to enjoy the music (ear buds block enough wind noise up to 60 mph , but I have a quiet lid....)
however , I use these for anything more than the trip to work - ultimate ear | Ear Plugs | Hearing and Ear Protection London UK | Soundear

I use an interphone FX4 (something) Bluetooth kit to which I soldered a 3.5 mm stereo jack - gives the option of using the in ear speakers or earbuds/ moulded plugs

Try earbuds connected to your phone/MP3 player first - might be all you need ?
