  1. I see the Easy Lift function currently on the Rally will be available as a free update on all V4S bikes.

  2. Is this function mainly for the vertically challenged riders? Just thinking out loud, I can't ever remember struggling to get the bike off the side stand. Just trying to understand, no judgment made here.

  3. Think so. Also lower the centre of gravity making it easier to get upright off the stand. A fully loaded bike can be a stretch on the wrong camber.

  4. its already on them isn't it?
If you sit on the bike with the ignition off the suspension is pretty firm, you can feel it go soft as soon as you turn on the ignition.try it, hold the brakes and rock the bike back a forwards and its a very obvious change. Its fairly normal with active dampers that they are full stiff when there's no power applied, same with cars

  5. Only the Rally. This is different to the preload lowering button.
Reading yesterday that Bmw are working on variable spring rates for the next gen bikes.

  6. I'm not talking about the pre load lowering either. That's a separate thing. My bike (V4S- 72plate) softens right up with ignition on already.

  7. Yeah, mine does it as well. I think it was added at the same time as the minimum preload option.

  8. Is the preload lowering for when you stop at juctions, the bike goes low? Do I understand that correctly? Thanks

  9. Yes it is.

  12. Kinda feels like "things no one asked for" doesn't it. They come with the Rally, so yay me for getting those, but if it was an option I'd have to pay for, would deffo not pay.

  13. Depends where you’re set in the first place though. :upyeah:

  14. I think many people like the feature, I’d pay for it. There’s a portion of the buyers who’d like a lower bike when it suits them

  15. I'll play with it a little once I get the bike (end of month). I recall from the test ride the seat overall was higher then my 1150GS, so I tought I'd just get the seat in the lower position, and call it a day. Maybe with this lowering I won't have to. I still reached OK, but the more contact, the better. I might change my mind about it, we will see!

  16. It depends how tall you are and how long your legs are. Had Dicati not introduced that feature i am pretty certain i would have sold mine last year.

  17. Fair...
I'm 186cm, never measured "ball clearance", but let's just say legs are not short either. Lucky me I guess.
