Ebay Prices

  1. Please Please Please ask your Ducati Dealer the price of Ducati parts before buying blindly off an auction site.
Just spotted a bag to store your leathers in selling for 4 times, YES YOU READ THAT RIGHT 4 TIMES, the price from a Ducati Dealer

I do believe that a profit should be made but 4 times the cost is just unreasonable in my mind.

    Rant over

  7. Should ALWAYS ask a friendy dealer before checking stealbay. Learned that with an 848 headlight bucket: £100 used or £85 new

  14. I paid £27 for mine several years back and it's not the first time that I have seen the suit cover going for silly money. When they first came out several ebay listers were asking around £50.

The particular lister shown above is well known for generally overcharging on parts prices. He wanted £60 once for something like 3 oil filters and an oil filter removal tool. I doubt that he sells that much in all probability as the same parts come up time and time again. That suit cover has been up several times before at the same price so it's likely he is not going to sell it easily.

Here they are in the Ducati store at £12 (inc. VAT) now.

  15. and on the flip side ducati belts for a monster a load cheaper at an independent shop than the local ducati dealer so it works both ways

  16. Wandering off topic a little bit im finding that spares for my KTM supermoto build are really reasonably priced....

Entire headlight (including the plastic mask) from a 2013 model - 60 quid
Bottom yoke bearing (entire kit) - 25 quid
Complete gastket and seal kit for engine rebuild - 111 quid
complete swing arm bearing kit - 90 quid

Ive got more to get - but so far the prices are pleasantly surprising me....

As for the bag thing - am I missing the point but I hang my leathers up...

  17. The leathers hang up in the protective cover as it has a slot in the top for the hanger to poke through and a small see through panel to identify the leathers. The front has a full length zip so that you can put the leathers in there. The only thing I found is that if you are quite tall the length of the bag is not quite long enough so the bottom part of the leathers have to be turned\pushed up slightly. At the the back of the cover there are a straps for carrying them about and for folding them in half to carry them.

It's just like a suit cover only for leathers.

Interesting to see the price has dropped over the years, that's the first time I have seen a Ducati item actually drop in price.

  18. Only one left according to the listing as 12 already sold.
