  1. I’m looking to purchase one, can anyone recommend one that they’ve used themselves and know works a treat?

    Thanks

  2. JMP for about £14 does the job. See evil bay...

  3. It fits all the big hub eccentrics. It fits my son's 1199 which has the same hub as the 1299 and my Supersport and previous 1200 Multi.

  4. I purchased the one above and I’m thinking it’s not the correct one as it seems too small.

  5. Try it and see. There are only 2 sizes of eccentric hub and all the recent bikes from 1098 on use the bigger one which is what the Palmer tool is designed for.

  9. Got it in the end up, tool works fine.

  10. Last week, my eccentric had got stiff (oeerrr missus etc…) and I managed to quite severely bend the Palmer one trying to move it - had to resort to the old screwdriver and lump hammer trick in the end

  11. Maybe it's time to strip it down and clean and grease the eccentric assembly.

  12. That was done late last summer, so I wasn’t expecting it to have seized up again already (I’ve put <1000 miles on the bike since) - hence my putting rather too much torque into it before resorting to other methods. I’m not having a dig at Palmer - it’s a very useful tool, but does have its limitations.
