999 Ecu Flash To Remove Immobiliser Setting - Recommendations?

Discussion in '749 / 999' started by Hotblack Desiato, Mar 30, 2016.

  1. I have a 999s ECU that I want to remove the immobiliser settings from so I can use it without the matched keys and antenna but also swap the clocks for a race dash. Does anyone know a reputable place to get the ECU flashed to achieve this at a reasonable cost, I.e. Not expensive
    Thanks in anticipation!

  2. Try Chris Steedman at CJS, or Mark Scorpio Electronics - Electronic Services or Avanti Race Parts - Ducati Parts and Accessories for Road and Race Motorcycles. Services for Ducati Motorcycles. Race prep, Paintwork, ECU Repairs, Anodising and more! The clocks take the air temp sensor input and send it to the ECU via the CAN bus, so check before removing the clocks that you can wire this direct to the ECU.

  3. The race dash will need to have an inbuilt atmospheric pressure sensor, as the 999 dash has one inside.

I know the Digitec Falcon 999 dash had the old 916 style sensor running from it via a patch lead.

@chrisw is the man for the ecu remap

Speak to Bike Sport Developments if you need to fit a sensor into the loom

  4. Thanks guys, I had asked the question of Scorpio before and they didn't seem interested. I am going to fit a Dash2 dashboard at least that is the aim. Once up and running I will eventually switch the ECU for a microtec but I understand it is possible to get the bike running the the dash2 and no immobiliser setup by reflashing the standard ECU. I think I will try Chrisw next, he's helped me out before with an electrical question and is a top bloke!
