Hey all. I broke an ecu pin in my ecu plug for my 2006 Ducati Monster 620. Where would be a good source for a replacement pin? I'm in the USA. I know it should be pretty easy to find but want to make sure I get the right one. Thank you!
You will have a problem replicating the OEM crimping on a new connector and getting the same level of security the OEM crimp gives. You would be better cutting one from a damaged loom and splicing it to the wiring loom. If you were in the UK I could post you some. Being in the USA you will not have access to any scrapped Fiat Punto M2’s to get the engine wiring loom and access to the ECU connectors. Check the forum for posts on how to take the ECU connector apart.
If you pick up the postage, it may be easier for me to post you some. I may even find a matching wire colour. PM me your details.
Removing the pin is the difficult part, if you know what you're doing (which I do) it's pretty straightforward to depin the connector. Pins are easily available and are Molex CMC 0.635, just make sure you order the right ones as there are three sizes depending on wire size. P/N 64322-1019 0.35mm square wire, P/N 64322-1039 0.5mm square wire and P/N 64322-1029 0.75mm square wire. Crimping takes a bit of practice, but you can get good OEM results with this tool https://www.bmotorsports.com/shop/p...ucts_id/364?osCsid=lgqgtvfrhoppgha6c5no0302h3 Terminals from Mouser https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Molex/64322-1029-Loose-Piece?qs=8%252Bu%2FV6%2FT1Oo2x0lkDPrXDw%3D%3D
