I have replied to your PM. This may help others searching the forum. The 998 used the IAW59M, as did the 999 between 2003 and 2004. The ECU may allow the 999 to run, like a pig. There will be no immo issues as the ECU will be virgin. Additionally the 998 is non-canbus and the 999 was the first Ducati with canbus. That means the dash will not get sensor data eg speed, tacho, temp etc and the ECU will not get barometric pressure. The 998 IAW59M can be reflashed to the 999 mapping though.
