but you are on the wrong side of the road overtaking with massive and numerous blind spots in a very short distance yet you are still accelerating towards the front of the queue….and you had an early heads up of the cyclist and his direction….. i would be ashamed to post that up…..yes poor obs, poor planning, poor skill level…..
And why (see my link at bottom of post) Did not plan to intercept him I was moving past stationary traffic which I can do. Andyb you should be ashamed did you not know about this one, btw I think there was one post 2006 as well were driver was found 100% at fault. Filtering law revised in the UK I was not speeding or going fast sorry but he was pulling out from between two cars not looking and also entering opposite carridge way.
It was just crap riding……..but hey your life…….its not a case of having right of way or right of law, its about staying alive and in one piece..The consequence of injury on a motorcycle often far outweighs the nature of the incident….hence ride as though everyone is out to get you. Im sure lying in a bed in a hospital with broken arm, collar bone ribs and a compressed fracture of the scull may impede your ability to write or dictate a claim form….
"if the rider had no chance to take avoiding action"…………….yeah you had non of that!!!!!!! "But try not to need it!"…………..i refer you to my previous post!
That is a fair point it is just that you decide to filter or you do not. I filter as that is why I got a bike to ride in London. Now also why crap riding yes I was close to the van but was hardly moving as could not see past it. It was that or not filter... BTW do not want to start a bid war here I am just astonished how definition of safe filtering changes from person to person. I seen your mates filtering at much higer speeds then I alost ever do.
Not as shocked as i am the definition of filtering is truly as wide as a wide thing….i would love to tell you about some of the conversations i get from bikesafe candidates…. i guess its all about skill level…observation anticipation planning…….
