  1. hi guys , anyone one good with the car electrics? i am fucking lost!! help pleass. can i post my problem here?

  2. i will give it a go.

  3. thanks, mate . just bought MB 380sl v8 , 35 years old, totally original with some faults. all mechanics fixed now, car is running good as new, except electrics. mosts of the bulbs are not working.and I've changed one of the only non original part (stereo) today back to cassete player which car come out from the factory with and now clock and illumination lights works only when engine is on (before i had a go changing stereo they we're working properly, i.e. all the time) also while i was at it I've changed one of the difficult to get to bulbs inside the console but it is still not working , so its not a bulb but something else. i thought that that many bulbs to be blown at the same time is almost impossible. \
    where do i start?

  4. the stereo will need a permanent live along with ignition live. yellow if i mind right is the permanent if it follows the usual iso connection some one possibly cut in to side light wire for back light on the after market stereo. 1980 electrics shouldn't be to hard to follow so a manual required dont know about the sl but the mercs of that era had a shitty fuse box on the bulk head under the bonnet that can cause probs.
