1200 Emm European Multistrada Meeting 2016

  1. Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that there are a few rooms left at the EMM this year.
If you haven't been to on of these I'd like to let you know that it's one of the best trips abroad you can make. Great roads, great company, well organised.
You can find more information and book here:
    EMM 2016- Mont Ventoux

Here are some more comments from the organiser Gregg:

Greetings from the Alps. What a fabulous autumn we have had, at least here- virtually no rain and unseasonably warm. We even rode a few big passes last weekend, go figure! Well, change is in the air and with 1st snow of the year today it only seems appropriate to to let everyone know what is happening with EMM2016.

While working on the 2015 event some of the French contingent suggested the Mt Ventoux area for next year. Jacques said he would help with road-books- although I would probably do some more scouting in advance to nail down some superb rides with very little transit.

Besides riding the Mt Ventoux are and Parc Naturel régional du Luberon, we would also cross the Durance valley and ride Gorges du Verdon, which is just stunning.

I have found a really nice hotel close to Apt with 27 rooms. We can reserve the whole place- the only problem it is a bit pricey- but to be honest- everything in this area is. This would be a upgarde on last year's hotel, the restaurant sounds very nice.

This hotel is out of town so perfect for a group and safe parking for the bikes and there are a few small B&Bs close if we overflow.

Prices are going to €82. for per person per day half board- the single room supplement is going to be £20.00 per day- so singles will be €102 per day. While accommodation is bit more expensive , the area is closer for most attendees so travel costs will be lower.

These are the dates to reserve in your calendar- 9th to the 12th June 2016

Booking has been open for a while and there are only 4 rooms left, unless people are happy to share.

  3. There are usually a couple of ladies and pillions. Sandra, a very regular attendee from Portugal who rides her own Multi, can't come this year as she is expecting a baby.

Last year there were a couple of people with pillions.
The routes are all provided on GPS files, although last year there were 32 Multi's but people go out join groups of 4-5 bikes. We all meet for lunch and there is usually a 'short cut' to head back to the hotel if you've had enough. The groups ride at different pace so you can always find someone you are comfortable with. It's very social, people from all over Europe (and beyond) and very civilised (usually). Ladies will fit in with no problems... it's the best biking trip I've ever done, I wasn't sure the first time I went but it's a great crowd of people, and made some great friends.

There are lots of people on the other Multistrada forum if you want to ask questions:
