1260 Enduro Rider Modes

  1. Hi again.
Took delivery of my 1260 Enduro on Monday and not had chance to play with it yet. Now trying to get my head around the skyhook and rider modes. Do any of the modes make the bike compress more when sitting on it? ie: if in single rider/no luggage and say in Urban mode, will it sit slightly lower than in Enduro mode?
The reason for the question is, I am finding I'm still on tip toes when on the bike, even with lowered seat. Thought I should get familiar with suspension modes before taking more drastic measures.

    cheers

  2. In my experience Sport mode is the tallest, next is Touring, then Enduro, then Urban. That might be just my perception, although Sport is definitely the highest. If you go in to the menu you can have a play around with the preload settings, and that will allow you to adjust the ride height.

I regularly cycle through rider modes in order to suit where I'm riding. In Urban mode the damping is a lot softer, so I'll use that regularly in town, as it makes the bike more manageable for stop-start riding.

  3. Yeah Urban is lowest. If you switch modes with it on the side stand you can see and hear it adjusting.

  4. Someone also mentioned in another thread last week about dropping the yokes down the forks by 10mm. Lowers the ride-height plus sharpens the steering, so it's a mod I'll probably try (assuming I can get at the pinch bolts without having to spend three hours removing plastics!).
