Thinking of doing the same heat shield mod (thread below) on my 899. Understand it's a bit easier on the 'Vespa' model.... just wondering if anyone has done it & if they have removed the engine covers too? Any photos of the finished job?
I removed the plastic covers. Had to lift subframe and tank up and out of way. Leaves a nasty exposed cam cover but cnc parts make a cover
