When engaging 1st after starting the bike it cuts out, I assume its the sidestand switch or could it be the microswitch on the clutch lever itself! Anyone know where to get spares.
If you find the connector for the clutch switch and short the terminals together you'll bypass the stand switch. If it still cuts out the stand switch is faulty, if it doesn't the clutch switch is. You could do it the other way round by bridging the side stand connector terminals instead. It might be more accessible. For the side stand switch doubt if there will be any alternative to a genuine switch. The Clutch switch looks very like a V4 or maybe V5 microswitch.
