I have recently completed rebuilding a wrecked 1200S DVT and all work fine except one thing. If I leave the bike idling to get up to temp, when it reaches 102 deg the fans kick in as expected however, as soon as this happens the engine light comes on too. Any ideas?
Sounds like it could be a faulty signal from the thermostat. I assume the temp drops down in reaction to the fans?
Thanks, yes the temp does drop with fans on. Is there any way of testing the thermostat, as they are a bit spendy?
