  1. Hi everyone, i have an 1198 on a 09 plate which i have just covered about 1600 miles on through europe, on th last leg to calais the engine managment light came on when slowing down or chugging through trafic, when its on if you then get back up to about 85-90 after a short time it will go out and stay out until you then slow down or stay constant at that speed, the temp is good and the engine runs well, except if you stop and turn off when the light is on it is sometimes a sod to start and you then need a little revs to run and tick over? has anyone got any ideas? On another issue the tyres i have got on are Battleaxe racing r10r were new from start which have now got about 1mm on sides but squared off and through wear gauge in middle, anyone got any thoughts on a better tyre.

  2. Could it be anything to do with poor foreign fuel? ( that suggestion is from the missus ) might need to change the fuel filter?

  3. Sounds like an O2 sensor is playing up

  4. Racetec interacts

  5. The 1198 has two lambda sensors, but usually they throw the error codes up on the dash too.

Unless they are working correctly and are actually detecting a problem with the fuelling of course.

  6. Cheers i have spoken to my local Duc man he says it sounds like the lambda sensor as well, i will have to take it to him to plug the old girl in to find out which is playing up.

    Cheers for the info :upyeah:
