Hi guys Need some advise, I'm currently in the Pyrenees and on the way down the top end of the rear bank has started sounding rattley and under hard load the bottom end sounds like it knocking, normally I'd take it straight to the dealers to have it checked but as my broken Spanish and French ain't that great I don't think they'd be much help trying to understand what I'm talking about. What I'm really asking is anyone else's the same? I wonder if I've noticed it because I'm using ear plugs and its killed the wind noise and now I can hear it where as before I couldn't over the wind noisy? Any help would be most welcome
I have a 1299 but sounds ok with earplugs. Have you tried removing plugs and riding to assess? I would be careful riding it if the bottom end is knocking, so make a judgement soon without adding a load more miles.
Yeah I've tried without and it seams fine but when I'm off the bike the top end sounds really rattlie and bottom end seams ok
Well I'd suggest the obvious of checking the engine oil level, then try to find a Ducati shop and have a listen to another, whilst asking their technicians to check yours out. I'm sure you've already thought this though.

Thanks guys checked oil level etc, it was services the day before I left as well, every where has been shut as it's the weekend, started heading back early be in the dealers first thing Monday for a check hopefully it's normal
