1098 Engine Removal

  1. Howdy, I'm going to repaint my frame on my 1098R so obviously I'll need to drop the engine. Is it tricky as hell or fairly straight forward? I'm handy enough with the tools but I've never done it before.
Also. . . paint or powdercoat?? Cheers, Paul.

  2. Pretty straight forward. The swing arm pin can be a bugger!
Idealy you'll need to dangle the bike from the rafters!
    Podercoat!

  4. powder coat is more durable but it can chip, i had two frames one powder coated and one sprayed the painted one was a better finish i found.

  5. Thanks Mr. Nelson. You've just answered my next question. Gonna get my wheels done while I'm at it. So, that's my man cave time sorted over Xmas. Cheers!
