Hi all, I just got my bike: a beautiful 1989 750 Indiana. (pics in gallery: "the odd one out") The license should be down next week, so off we go - soon... hopefully... All new to motorcycling, all new to Ducati, and all new to this forum. I notice that there's no forum room for the Indiana. What's more: a search for "Indiana" gives 4 hits, only one of which (the alternative spare parts list) even mentions the Indiana. Ok, I know the Indiana is neither the most common nor the most popular of Ducatis, but am I really the only one here who's got one? Cheers, Martin
Dont like I really want to enter a crazy Dane. Could lead to all kindsa problems , but if shes hot, well thats another matter all together Hello and welcome to the black and red funky bunch
Crazy Dane - Ducati Indiana: that was a well thought-out thread title! But you are to be hugely welcomed for getting into bikes, getting into Ducati and coming from Denmark. Who cares if your choice of bike is ... er.... idiosyncratic?
Hi there, have to say its not a bike I have ever come across before, but I guess it appeared whilst I was "away" from bikes. It isn't my style but that doesn't mean it's not a good bike! Loving the shiny belt covers, have fun on here and out on the bike.
Crazier the better....all adds to the fun I'll admit my igorance, never heard of the Indiana......looks like a good choice of first bike, have fun! Looks good: Albums > 'the odd one out' headlong's Album: the odd one out
It looks better in black and yellow I have to say! You may well be the only one yes. I can sympathise the only on with a little 400 monster...
Hey, Thanks for the nice words! Definitely not your average Ducati (if there is such a thing), they only made about 2300 Indianas (350s, 650s and 750s) from 1989-91, so its a bit of a rarity - and a great ride! Fortunately, despite its rarity, its built up on the basis of the of the Cagiva Elephant and the Pantah engine, so only a few parts are unique to this model. Only thing; I need a new front disc (no, I am NOT going to tell you how I bent it!), and this does seem to be unique, and I can't find it anywhere :-( Any leads would be very welcome! Thanx Martin
Welcome. That is what I would call a "Marmite" bike and I actually like it in a "I quite fancy Adele" and I don't know why
