Had the eobd come on whilst testing at Cadwell. It's running on the vertical cylinder only and showing a 10.2 efi error code. Going to have a play with it now.... Well the diognostisic work on the Ducati kind of wasnt so fruitful. Swapping coil packs round didn't work after proving they both produced a spark and trying new plugs. PC removed and no luck there either. Still running on the vertical cylinder only displaying the efi code 10.2. Tried a new fuel pump relay too but no luck. Any ideas please?
If the fault is not switching cylinders when the coils are swapped, then it could be the coil driver has failed on the ECU. Fitting another ECU is the only way to confirm this.
The coils are triggered by the ECU earthing one of the 3 wires into the coil. Before we write the ECU off you could check the continuity to pin 38 on the Black base ECU connector. This is the earth trigger and you should have continuity to one of the 3 pins on the coil connector. Sorry the below is in German but horizontal coil = zundung liegend Why they fail, I don't know. More common on the IAW59M ECU.
You need to contact Antonye @antonye for that sort of thing Alternatively we could flash a secondhand ECU
