Hello everybody This started happening today. I get the warning light together with the error and my brake stop light stops working. I need to turn the bike off and on again to reset. So far, it only happens when I apply the brake constantly (on a traffic light) and it happens regardless of which brake I apply (front or rear). The light itself is fine (the reset proves it). Any ideas? I have replaced my original tail light which had disintegrated with one the has the indicator lights integrated to the tail light. I don't see why this should create any problems, especially when it goes to the original connectors and it has been working flawlessly for the past five months. Thanks
As an update: This happens only when the motor is running. If I just switch the bike on and keep the lever pressed it doesn't happen. I have reverted to my old taillight (normal light burned, brake light working) and the problem has gone away. It seems to me that the problem is the custom taillight. I don't understand why though .... I have ordered another taillight without turn indicators to test. I will post the results once I have it.
Might be the CAN bus - everything electrical onthe Multi is tied into that. When I replaced my rear bulbs with LEDs, I made sure that I got CAN-compatible ones - haven’t had a problem.
Thanks for the feedback, however, as far as I know the stop light control comes directly from the BBS as I have seen here. From what I gather the BBS controls the stop light and if it senses a problem uses the CANBUS to relay that information to the dash (I might be totally wrong here though as I am by no means an expert in the electronics configuration). I have reverted back to my old original taillight (where only the brake light functions while the running light was blown) and it stopped doing it. So it seems to be the taillight assembly that has the problem. I'll be updating after I receive the new one.
Update: got the new taillight installed. Problem solved. As far as I know, even the new one is not CANBUS compatible. So, it's probably the current to the light that the BBS is measuring to report an error or not.
