Essex Docgb Meet. New Venue.

  1. Every 2nd Sunday of the month starting this Sunday March 13th middayish. New venue 'The Cabin Cafe' Burnham on Crouch. Weather looking ok. Cheers Keith.

  3. The Bird in Hand closed down, didn't it? Hence need for a new venue.

  4. It shut down 'permanently' in 2009, but we have been there since then.

    However it was open the other day when I went past.........and it was open on a Sunday just before Christmas.

  5. Yes it reopened after we decided on a new venue. Not sure how Burnham will work out in summer, it might be too busy, but I thought it'd be good to meet where other bikes go, and its a pleasant ride in. Plus theres some forum members that end a sunday ride there last year so maybe tie in with that.

  6. Bloody miles away for me, Keith..............and I hate the Maldon area (I used to do a lot of work at Wilkins of Tiptree, so I know those roads well)....

  9. Apols Keith. Forgot to reply - I'll get along at some stage, but still waiting for bike to get fixed after i dropped it over Xmas. Hope was a good ride out. Cheers, Andrew.

    Looking to move again before Summer as it'll be too packed.

  14. Yep I'd just been in Chinnerys to get some tix for Jesus Jones. I go to Southend/Shoebury most Saturdays and have a beer with mates.
