  1. Evening all, I’m new to this forum, I’ve just bought a 2016 Multistrada Enduro with Ducati/Givi tank bag but the cable from the 12v outlet to the tank bag is missing.
    Can someone point me in the right direction for a new cable as I’m not sure what the connections are?
    Thanks in advance

  2. Welcome Dave. Someone who knows what they are talking about will be along in a minute I’m sure.

  3. Welcome to the forum we like a bit more of an introduction and pictures
    Sorry I can't help with your question

  4. Welcome to the Forum Enduroman.

    As Clarkey says above.

    Also, try the Multistrada section, someone there might know and may not see this.

  5. If it's the same as the std Givi hub, I would assume it is, then you need a Hella jack for the bike end (the Givi version has DC connectors both ends, I removed that and added the Hella jack) and 5.5mm DC connector for the bag end. Easy enough to buy the parts and make your own, just need those, some wire and a soldering iron.

  9. Welcome that man from sussex:upyeah:

  10. :astonished: That's a lot of cash. As I said above; if you have a soldering iron order the bits off ebay and make your own. Hella plug, DC connector and some twin core cable (curly if you want to replicate the original). Should cost you £10 to £15 at the most. I used a right angle Hella plug on mine, more expensive but a bit neater as it doesn't stick out from the dash so much. On the original there's a rubber sleeve that slides down the DC connector and into the bag connecton but it's not really necessary.

    If you're interested I can provide a photo, check polarity (pretty sure it'll be centre positive on both ends) and confirm the size of the DC connector.

  11. Welcome cable-less dude :cool::upyeah:

  12. As I thought, polarity is + centre on both ends. DC connector is 5.5mm. Here's a pic of mine. The right angle Hella plug was about £12, significantly more than the straight ones, but it not only gives extra clearance the flat top catches neatly on the edge of the spring loaded flap on the socket for a bit of extra security.

    This is from the complete Givi kit as in the Nippy Norman's link in my first post, I had to add the Hella plug. £56 is just about acceptable, how Ducati can ask for £97 baffles me.
