I remember an advert in bike magazines ages ago, where a guy had one of these in the middle of his living room. All around the place was a s**t tip, but the bike had pride of place in the centre of the room where the television should have been and was spotless. The guy was just looking at it. I remember these being released, but never really looked into them.
that's the one year, they were quite a trick special if I remember. A little before my time though strictly.
does any company out there make something that doesnt have the 'evo' moniker attached to it..im sure Dyson do an Evo bum washer or some such device.
They were pretty trick back then, but more these days for the rarity than the physical performance IMHO.
My memory is usually rubbish, but I think this must have left a lasting impression on me. Almost exactly as described. I didn't remember the fact it was an MCN advert though.
Seem to recall a new one, being sat in the local (to me) Honda dealer for ages before it found a home
Buddy of mine has an Erion Racing 954, the real deal, not just a paint job. Locked away outta sight last few yrs.
the tank is very nr750 esc. im just wondering what the theory is behind the single sided swing arm on this?
Potentially faster wheel changes, but just as likely because single sided conversions were all the rage at the time.
I remember that bike and really wanted one. They are really special..from memory, hand built engines, pukka Ohlins, dymags. Built like a proper race bike. Cannot remember who built them, I think Russell Savory. If I could register one in France I would try and find one.
Bonhams : 1999 Honda CBR900RR FireBlade Evolution TT100 Frame no. JH2SC33A0XM306843 Engine no. SC33E2311116 Voila
it just looks like an irrelevant, dated pig to me..maybe ive lost my romance...the RC30 and RC45 are much nicer, although the 45 hasnt aged particularly well....if it was a 916 and they were 'special' editions back in the day, we'd all be doing our conkers.
I went to look at buying the Bonham's one - the one in Ilkley has been for sale for 3 years, started in Route 65 Specialist Motorcycles which is owned by the same guy. Must have moved it to try a new show room.
