959 Evo Tech Tail Tidy

  1. Just a quick review, I ordered the Evo Tech tail tidy and fitted at the weekend. Something needed to be done as the OEM plate holder was awful in my opinion.

At £149 it wasn't cheap, ordered some paddock bobbins too.

Lovely packaged box and quality so instantly impressed and once I worked out instructions were online I got stuck in.

I'm pretty ok with spanners and expected the install to be a right complicated fiddle but such a lovely install, almost lego like instructions and fitted beautifully, only slight struggle was getting the rubber indicator holders in and needed a bit of heat and lube to get in more easily (at least they wont fall out).

Took me about 45 mins.. working very slowly with a cup of tea and enjoying an hour break from kids!

I will post some pics later, but for anyone looking at one for your new Panigale I couldn't recommend it more highly!

  2. Did you manage to tuck the wire loom away neatly ?

  3. Yes just cable tied the excess and then pushed it down a little , seems ok!

  4. I put a evo tech tail tidy on my 821, very impressed with the engineering which has gone into it. My friend has the same bike and bought a cheaper make. You can tell the difference.

  5. Probably stripping down the rear end more may get a neater finish, but for less than a hour to fit it looks the part.

  6. Got the same on mine - great looking piece of kit

  7. So much better than the Meccano looking R & G one, I added the smaller 1199 led indicators on mine and 7x5 plate and looks so much better
